A brief guide to gifting, crowdfunding, delivery, and privacy.

How gifting works

What supporters do. Supporters choose an item on a creator's wishlist and check out without needing an account.

What Selected List does. We facilitate purchasing through approved retailers and, when needed, we purchase and forward items to keep creator addresses private. Order status updates are shared to the extent possible.

Crowdfunding contributions

If crowdfunding is enabled for an item or goal, supporters can contribute any amount toward the shared total. Rules are set on a per-item or per-goal basis and shown at checkout.

  • If the goal is fully funded, we proceed with fulfillment.
  • If the goal is not fully funded, contributions are handled according to the stated rule (refund or platform credit).

Out-of-stock items

Retailer availability can change quickly.

  • If an item becomes unavailable, it is marked out of stock until refreshed.
  • Creators can swap items, and we may suggest alternatives when appropriate.

Privacy & address handling

Creator delivery details are collected only when necessary to fulfill an order and are never displayed publicly.

Where feasible, we use double-blind handling to keep supporter and creator contact details separate.

Payments & failed charges

Payments are processed via Stripe.

  • Cards may be challenged via bank verification (such as 3DS) depending on region and fraud signals.
  • If a payment fails, no order is created.

Refunds & chargebacks

Refund eligibility depends on fulfillment status and retailer policies. If you need help, contact support before filing a chargeback.
